• External oleation therapy involves massaging your whole body with lukewarm oil like sesame or coconut oil. This external massage, carried out for five days, helps in removing toxins effectively. A hot bath is generally followed after the massage. This helps in swedana (sweating because of hot bath) and removes toxins from our body.

• Triphala is an excellent medicine employed during detoxification process. It is recommended to take a teaspoon of triphala powder and let it steep in hot water for few minutes. Drinking this liquid after an hour of dinner during the tenure of detoxification process yields very good results.

• As far as panchakarma diet is concerned, kichadi / kitchari (prepared with basmati rice and moong dal) is the best option, as it is a complete balanced and nutritional food. To satiate the taste beds, it can be spiced up with turmericcumingingercorianderfenugreek, and mustard seeds.
