Healthy Ways To Naturally Flavor Water ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Looking to add a little excitement to your glass of water? Many of the products used for flavoring your water are unnatural and often contain chemicals you wouldn’t want to put in your body. If you are interested in finding alternatives, check out these 10 neat ways to naturally flavor your water.

Rosemary and Watermelon

Cutting up small chunks of watermelon and placing a few sprigs of rosemary into your pitcher tastes amazing! The fruit and herb complement each other very well. To enhance the flavor or the rosemary, roll it flat in your hands a little before putting it into the water.

Mint and Lemon

Using mint and lemon is an easy, popular way to naturally flavor water. Mint and lemon go great with just about any other fruit used for flavoring water. In addition to making your water taste good, the vitamin C from the lemon is said to act as a natural antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and metabolism booster.

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey

One of my favorite things to add to my water for flavor is a little raw apple cider vinegar and honey. Check out this recipe for an easy, refreshing, apple cider vinegar drink.

Activated Charcoal

If you haven’t tried activated charcoal in your water, you will just have to give it a try! Along with purifying water and many other uses, activated charcoal naturally enhances the taste as well. I can easily taste the difference between water with activated charcoal and water without it.

Orange and Ginger

Add a little tanginess and spice to your water with sliced oranges and ginger! Simply cut the ginger into chunks, slice the oranges, and drop them into your water. A good way to enhance the ginger flavor is to peel the ginger chunks before adding them to your water.

Pineapple

Pineapple is pleasant in water! One easy way to do get this taste is by slicing chunks of fresh pineapple or putting a little bit of fresh juice into your water.

Sliced Cucumbers

Cucumber slices in water is another well-desired way to flavor water. And did you know that cucumber water is said to be excellent for helping you cool down your body temperature?

Apples and Cinnamon

Almost any variety of sliced apples with cinnamon are incredible for boosting the taste of your water.

Peaches

I love the smell, flavor, and taste of peaches, so they are undoubtedly one of my favorite fruits for flavoring-up my drinking water. All you need to do is remove the pit, cut up a peach into chunks, and then throw them into your water.

Mixed Berries

There are many berries that can be used to give your drinking water fantastic flavor. A few of my favorites are blackberriesblueberriesraspberries, and strawberries. I like to use the frozen berries to both chill and flavor my drinking water. I have also found that sparkling water goes really well with mixed berries.

Lemongrass

Infusing your water with lemongrass can give it a nice herbal flavor.  You can do this by allowing your water to sit in the refrigerator with whole lemongrass pieces inside, and then straining the water before drinking.

Licorice Root

If you want to add a nice licorice flavor to your water, all you have to do is drop a piece of licorice root into your water. Easy!

Organic Fruit Juice

Adding a few splashes of unsweetened, organic fruit juice is a quick and easy way to add a little flavor to your water. A few good juice choices are green grapecranberry, or pomegranate. Another suggestion is to pour some fruit juice into an ice tray, and freeze it to make flavored ice cubes for your water.

Water has amazing healing powers! It helps to get our digestive system moving, cleanses us, keeps us hydrated, and so much more! The wonderful thing about all the fruit, veggie, and herbal options listed above is that they can be easily be combined with one another to make other infusions. Upgrading your H2O naturally doesn’t have to be difficult, nor does it have to jeopardize your health with unnecessary chemicals.
